About Your Physiotherapist

I have worked in physiotherapy for over a decade, primarily in the Albany region, where I developed a strong following and reputation for a hands-on, results-driven approach to treatment.

My work is particularly focused on musculoskeletal pain and injuries that can be difficult to settle or keep coming back. Treatment may include manual therapy, dry needling, soft tissue techniques, mobilisation or manipulation, alongside rehabilitation where it is useful. The aim is always to reduce pain, improve movement and address the factors contributing to the problem.

In 2026, I opened my own home-based clinic to provide a more personal treatment setting with longer appointments and more time to work through each problem properly. I am also preparing to open a new three-room clinic on Beach Road in Torbay later in 2026.

Dry needling is one of the main areas I have developed within my practice. I have used it extensively over the years and continue to refine how I apply it for different muscle and pain presentations. I particularly use dry needling for neck and shoulder pain, hip and glute-related problems, muscular tightness and restriction, and certain knee conditions.

I am currently completing PAANZ's newly released Certificate in Acupuncture & Dry Needling to continue advancing my skills in this area.

Particular areas of interest within my practice include neck and shoulder issues, TMJ disorders, foot and ankle pain, and more persistent or complex pain presentations.

My approach is straightforward: work out what is most likely contributing to the problem, explain it clearly, and use the treatment and rehabilitation options that are most appropriate for the individual.

Outside of physiotherapy, I enjoy maintaining a healthy lifestyle through boxing, gym workouts and occasionally surprising people with my poker skills!
